Fanny Krieger (1929-)
“Extraordinary, determined and focused “are just some of the adjectives used to describe Fanny Krieger. Fanny’s enthusiasm and support for women in the male-dominated sport of fly fishing resulted in the creation of, the Golden West Women Flyfishers, the International Festival of Women FlyFishers, and the International Women Flyfishers. Her contributions to flyfishing resulted in her being inducted to the Northern California Flyfishers Hall of Fame. Fanny’s childhood, she was the sole-survivor of her family in the Nazi Holocaust, was the subject of the award-winning book, A Pocket Full of Seeds. She is a champion who has changed the face of fly fishing for the better.
