“Few Triple Crown winners in the last 50 years, including Secretariat and Affirmed, can claim the number of victories of Zenyatta.”

Zenyatta (2004 -)
Owned by Jerry and Ann Moss (of A & M Records fame), Zenyatta was named after "Zenyatta Mondata" a track recorded by Moss’s client, the Police. She ran her first race at Hollywood Park in 2007, as a 3-1/2 year old and beat 11 other horses by an astounding 3 lengths. In 2008, she won the Breeders Cup Ladies Classic, and a year later she won the Breeders’ Cup Classic, beating the world’s top male horses. This prancing, gargantuan filly typically chews up the track from behind and outside; making her a suspense-building drama queen. Born on April Fool’s Day, her supremacy is no joke when she comes barreling down the track like a roaring freight train. With a 19-1 record, she lost her only race by just a nose; she is considered one of the greatest horses of all time.
